— Outgrowing Jersey Watch?

Jersey Watch is great
until you outgrow it.

If your club is under 100 players and run by parent volunteers, Jersey Watch is honestly a strong fit. The moment you add a second team, a federation tier, persistent parent accounts, or tournament workflows, the gaps start to show.

— The math

What you're actually paying.
Including the line items they don't advertise.

Headline price isn't take rate. Once you stack subscription, per-transaction, per-registrant, dispute, and minimum-volume fees, the real number lands here.

— On Jersey Watch

$29/mo + 3.5% + $1 per transaction

Effective take ≈ ~3.7–4% of GMV

  • Card fee not pass-through to families — the club absorbs the 3.5% + $1
  • No persistent athlete/parent accounts means no clean invoicing flow
  • No tournament/bracket workflows; clubs run those off-platform
  • Limited reporting; complex registration setups break the export feature

+ On EZ Event Registration

$49/mo + 1.5% per transaction

Effective take ≈ ~1.6%

  • No subscription minimums or volume penalties
  • Refundable platform fees on refunded registrations
  • Stripe Connect v2 marketplace payouts — funds go to you
  • No per-registrant uplifts, no dispute fees, no captive rules

— At your scale

For a club doing $500K in registrations,
that's roughly $10,662 a year back to your program.

— Why your registrar is unhappy

These aren't edge cases.
These are the system.

  • No persistent athlete/parent accounts means no invoicing

Without persistent parent and athlete records, Jersey Watch can't invoice families across seasons or send dunning workflows. Clubs handle that off-platform, in spreadsheets.

They did not have athlete/parent account options so you couldn't send invoices. We tracked unpaid balances in a Google Sheet.

  • Reporting and data depth is thin

Limited reporting functionality. Complex registration setups break the export feature. Clubs scaling beyond a single sport report hitting the data ceiling quickly.

No real reporting functionality and some team management features I would like to have are not available at this time.

  • No multi-org / federation tenancy

Jersey Watch is a single-org platform. Federations, multi-club organizations, and clubs operating multiple programs (camps, leagues, training) under one umbrella have to run multiple JW accounts and reconcile across them.

We grew into running three programs and JW couldn't handle them under one roof. We were managing three separate accounts and three separate Stripe connections.

— How EZ Event Registration is different

Not a feature list.
A different architecture.

These aren't features Jersey Watch could add next sprint. They require schema-level, processor-level, and ownership-level choices baked in from day one.

  1. / 01

No persistent parent/athlete accounts — no invoicing across seasons

First-class persistent parent and athlete records. Cross-season invoicing, dunning, and balance tracking out of the box.

  2. / 02

    No multi-org or federation hierarchy

Multi-tenant from the database up. Federation → club → team hierarchies with role-based access at every level.

  3. / 03

No tournament / bracket / standings workflows

Native tournament workflows on the roadmap; today, clean integrations with the tools you already use without forcing you off-platform for everything else.

  4. / 04

    3.5% + $1 not pass-through; club absorbs the fee

1.5% flat with optional pass-through to families. The math gets dramatic at $250K+ volume.
